Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), we have a legal duty to protect any personal data we collect from you, to be explicit about what purposes we are using it for and to make it easy for you to opt out from receiving communication from us at any time. In this context, personal data refers to any information relating to an identifiable person who can be directly or indirectly identified. By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.
This page explains how we protect and respect the data we collect from you.
What personal data do we collect about you?
When you purchase concert tickets or a CD from us, we collect personal data such as name, postal address, telephone number and email address. Details of payment card numbers are obtained by Ticketsource and not stored by Caritas. Website usage information is collected using cookies.
How will we use the personal data about you?
When making a purchase with us your personal data is stored on the Ticketsource box office system and on the googlemail server. By making a purchase you consent to your personal data being stored in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
For environmental reasons, we do not print paper tickets and we ask our audience not to print out their booking confirmations. For each concert, a list of names of those who have booked tickets is printed and given to a volunteer, often from the performance venue, who will use it to confirm attendees. All efforts are made to ensure the list of names is destroyed following each concert.
Mailing list consent
You will be asked if this data may be used to keep you informed about forthcoming concerts or activities by Caritas. If you agree, you will be added to our email list. We only send out information which is relevant to our email list such as details of upcoming concerts and other activities by Caritas. You can unsubscribe from this mailing list at any time by emailing [email protected] with the subject ‘Unsubscribe’.
